Comprehensive Aquaculture Organization, Breeding and Hatching
50 years ago, Manit Group (formerly “Manit Farm”) was originally established by Mr. Manit and Mrs. Wipha Leungnarumitchai. Initially set as a catfish farm in Tambon Salaya, Amphoe Phutthamonton, Nakhon Pathom province. Later, the farmland was extended and moved to the district of Khao Yoi and Ban Laem in Phetchaburi Province, where “Manit Group” is now located.
Mr. Manit began by farming black tiger shrimp in over 2,000 rai (approximately 790 acres) of land before shifting on to Tilapia and white shrimp farming, including sex-reversed Tilapia seeds, and providing high quality Tilapia feed.
The Second Generation
Today, our business has been passed down to the next generation, who are open to new knowledge and technology, including collaboration with global organizations, strengthening Manit Group’s advancement to the abreast global trends in aquaculture. With our specialist team, every step of the production has been in control, and as a result, we were recognized as one of Thailand’s one-stop aquaculture farms.

Research
Previously, Manit Group started a selective breeding program in partnership with Akvaforsk Genetic Center (AFGC).
In 2007, we collaborated in research and development with a world-leading aquaculture consultant from Norway to improve the quality of Tilapia and Red Tilapia.
With the above-mentioned heighten knowledge and set up programs for more than 10 years, Manit Group has continuously applied those practices with our highly skilled team of scientists specialized in fish species research and development.
Awards and Certification Standards
Our main achievement has been to promote the long-term stability of aquaculturists by providing high-quality fish seeds and products from Manit Group.
Manit Group received the award “Outstanding National Level in Tilapia farming management and Genetic breeder farming” from the Department of Fisheries, Thailand.
We are the only tilapia breeding farm in Thailand that receives the Best Aquaculture Practices [BAP] certification.
